If your desktop is still on the motherboard's built-in wireless or relies on a network cable, this is a low-effort upgrade. It uses the Intel AX210 chipset with tri-band AXE5400 performance: 2402 Mbps on 6GHz, 2402 Mbps on 5GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4GHz. Note that 6GHz requires Windows 11; Windows 10 is limited to 5GHz and 2.4GHz.

Two high-gain antennas with magnetic bases come in the box, so you can position them for the best signal, giving noticeably better coverage than onboard antennas. Bluetooth is now 5.3, twice as fast and four times the range of Bluetooth 4.2, which helps with controllers, headsets and keyboards.

For gaming or VR, OFDMA and MU-MIMO cut lag and keep things steady on crowded networks, and WPA3 handles security.

Installation is simple: drop it into a PCIe slot, connect the Bluetooth cable to a motherboard USB header and install the driver. Both standard and low-profile brackets are included for smaller cases, and TP-Link backs it with a 2-year warranty.

If your router supports 6GHz but your PC cannot see it, this card is all you are missing. At $39.97 it sits at the low end for a 6E adapter.
