Acer EK271 27" IPS Monitor — 120Hz and 1ms for Work or Play! $119.99 CAD (33% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Acer EK271 Gbi 27-inch monitor for $119.99 CAD (list price $179.99 CAD, 33% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 CAD ship free.

Acer put the money into the panel instead of extras: 27-inch IPS, 1920 x 1080, 120Hz refresh, 1ms response, Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync) support and a rated 99% colour gamut. It handles spreadsheets, console gaming and light video editing without complaint. IPS means 178-degree viewing angles, so colours hold up even when you sit off to the side.

The ZeroFrame bezel makes multi-monitor setups look almost seamless. The stand only tilts — no height adjustment — so if your desk sits high you'll want a riser or a VESA arm. Connectivity is one HDMI and one VGA, with an HDMI cable in the box, so it works with both newer laptops and older office machines.

Two honest caveats: there are no built-in speakers, so plan on a separate pair, and 250 nits looks dim next to a south-facing window. Otherwise first-time buyers report it holds up well — no tearing or colour shifting in effect-heavy games.

At under $120 for a 27-inch 120Hz IPS panel you're paying $30-40 less than most equivalents. If the budget is tight and the screen needs to be big, this is a solid pick.
