shukiku Kids' Backpack — Preschool to SK Size, Water-Repellent with YKK Zippers! $26.39 CAD (20% Off)

Amazon.ca has the shukiku kids' backpack at $26.39 CAD, down from $32.99 — 20% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping over $35.

This is sized for the preschool-to-SK stretch, where an adult pack pulls a small kid's shoulders forward and a full-size school bag is mostly empty air. It ranks #6 in Amazon.ca's Kids' Backpacks category with 332 ratings at 4.6 stars, which is not the profile of something that vanishes after a few hundred orders.

The fabric is water-repellent, so snow or a leaking bottle wipes clean. Zippers are YKK doubles — easy for a kid to work and unlikely to start skipping teeth after six months. Along with the shoulder straps there's an adjustable chest buckle that keeps the pack from swinging when they run, and the strap includes an anti-lost leash for crowded school pickups.

The side pockets are deeper than usual, which parents mention repeatedly: a large water bottle stays put, and the front pocket swallows spare pants or a rain suit. One parent reports fitting a lunch box, agenda, indoor shoes and a change of clothes into it for the first week of JK with room left over; another says it still looked new after more than a year of school and camp use and repeated washing. Kids can open it and put it on themselves, which saves the daily doorway negotiation.

Two honest notes: 20% isn't a dramatic discount — this pack normally sits just over $30, so if you're waiting for half price, keep waiting. And it isn't a rigid moulded-shell bag, so it slumps a little when half empty. But $26 for something that survives a school year and that a four-year-old can actually carry is reasonable for this category.
