Brushing a dog's teeth is a losing battle for most people, and GREENIES is the compromise that actually gets eaten. The texture bends as they chew, so it wraps around both sides of the tooth and works down to the gumline — more than kibble alone does — to fight plaque and tartar and cut dog breath. It's accepted by the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC), which is as close as a treat gets to a vet stamp of approval.

The formula is natural ingredients plus vitamins and minerals, and the highly soluble base is easy to digest. One treat a day is the recommendation, so 90 chews covers about three months — roughly 66 cents a day.

4.6 stars, 900 reviews, 1,000+ boxes sold in the past month. Stick with Petite if your dog is in the 7-11 kg range; the next size up is too big to chew properly and the cleaning effect drops off.
