TP-Link Tapo C200 1080p Pan/Tilt Indoor Camera — 360° Motion Tracking, No Subscription! $27.98 CAD (20% Off)

Amazon.ca has the TP-Link Tapo C200 1080p pan/tilt indoor camera for $27.98 CAD (list $34.99, 20% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping on orders over $35.

It pans a full 360° and tilts 114°, so one unit in a corner covers most of an apartment. When it detects motion it rotates to follow it — not a fixed camera staring at one direction. Infrared night vision reaches 30 ft and holds up in a completely dark room.

Drop in a microSD card (up to 128GB, sold separately) and it records locally on a loop — roughly 16 days of footage — with no subscription. That matters: plenty of cheap cameras make their money on the monthly cloud fee. Cloud storage comes with a 30-day trial, and letting it lapse doesn't affect local recording. There's a mic and speaker for two-way talk, handy for pets or kids, and Alexa can pull the feed onto your TV.

Two things to know up front: it's corded, no battery, so check where your outlets are; and motion detection is sensitive — mounted by a street-facing window, passing headlights can trip the alarm, so dial the sensitivity down a notch.

Over 41,000 ratings at 4.4 stars, ranked #1 in dome surveillance cameras. For a cheap set of eyes on the door or the pet room, there isn't much to argue with at this price.
