Stepping out of the shower onto bare tile in a Canadian winter is its own kind of punishment. This is woven bamboo, 23.5 x 16.5 inches (about 59.7 x 41.9 cm) and 1 cm thick — sized to sit outside the shower or tub. Note it's for the floor outside; it isn't meant to go inside the shower or the tub.

The lattice leaves open gaps, so water drains straight through instead of pooling like it does on a fabric mat. There are small grip pads underneath; they hold it in place when dry, but Mind Reader is upfront that they won't stop movement when the mat or the floor is wet. If someone in the house needs extra stability, keep it in the dry zone or against the wall.

When you don't need it, roll it up and stand it in a corner — easier to store than a full rubber mat, and less likely to go musty. Cleaning is a damp cloth or mild soap, then let it dry completely.

4.2 stars from 1,500+ ratings, #76 in Bathtub Mats. Twenty-odd dollars for warm feet on the way out of the shower is a cheap fix.
