Buying before the first big snowfall is the smart move — prices and stock both get ugly afterwards. The handle is a 58-inch double-curved aluminum shaft; that S-curve keeps your back straighter when you push, so it feels more like pushing than lifting. The whole thing weighs about 4.5 lb, and aluminum won't go brittle at minus 20 like plastic handles do.

The 18-inch poly scoop has a metal-tipped edge that slides under fresh snow and can shave thin ice. The blade is deliberately not oversized — wet snow is heavy, and a wider scoop means a load you can't lift. It handles driveways, walkways, porches and steps, and hangs flat against the garage wall between storms.

Assembly takes a few minutes: four screws, one Allen key, tools in the box.

Honest caveats: it's built for pushing banks of snow and clearing large areas, not for scraping stairs, and anyone under about 5'6" will find the 58-inch handle long. If you're taller and have a driveway to clear, this is much kinder on your back. Ranked fourth in Snow Shovels, and reviewers who used it nearly every day through a northern winter say it stayed light and held its shape.
