This is a pre-waxing glaze, used after washing and decontaminating and before your wax or sealant. It levels out fine swirls and towel marks while conditioning oils add depth of colour and gloss. It shows most on dark paint — the finish comes out with that wet, mirror-like reflection rather than a flat shine.

It's safe on clear coats and works by hand or with a dual-action polisher such as Meguiar's MT300, so you don't have to be timid with it. A 16 oz bottle covers several passes on one car. Meguiar's is the brand to default to at this level: it's #1 in Amazon.ca's chrome & metal polishes, 4.6 stars across 1,300+ ratings, with 700+ bought in the past month.
