Geekpure 2-Stage Whole House Water Filter, 20" Housings — Sediment + Carbon! $227.98 CAD (26% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Geekpure 2-stage whole house water filter system (two 4.5" × 20" blue housings, 5-micron PP sediment + carbon block cartridges) for $227.98 CAD, down from $309.99 — 26% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping over $35.

It installs on the main water line, so every tap, the washing machine, the water heater and the dishwasher get filtered water. Stage one is the PP sediment cartridge trapping silt, rust and dirt — it discolours as it loads up, so when it turns dark yellow-brown you know it's time to swap; the cartridge doubles as its own gauge. Stage two is the carbon block, pulling chlorine, taste, odours and finer particles, which means no chlorine smell in the shower and less scale in the kettle.

Key specs: 4.5" OD × 20" housings, 1" NPT brass ports, 5–15 GPM flow depending on feed pressure, cartridge life 6–12 months or 100,000 gallons, 90 psi maximum pressure, 40–110°F water temperature. The housings are NSF-standard sized, so replacements don't have to come from the original brand.

In the box: two 20" blue housings with pressure release, two plastic wrenches, two metal brackets, screws, one PP sediment cartridge and one carbon block. Installation is standard pipe cut-in with threaded connections — a solid afternoon if you're handy. If it's your first time, search "whole house water filter" on YouTube; there are plenty of install videos for this type of system.

Two things to know before you start: lubricate the O-ring with silicone grease and make sure it sits properly in its groove, or it will leak; and protect the housings from freezing if they live in an unheated garage or outdoors. If your household pressure can exceed 80 psi, a pressure regulator must go in ahead of the filter, set to 60 psi or lower.

Rated 4.3 stars across 79 reviews, #10 in Under-Sink Water Filters, one-year warranty. Comparable two-stage whole-house setups usually run three to four hundred installed, and this one arrives with cartridges included. If your water is hard, smells of chlorine, or you just moved into an older house, this is the least fussy way in.
