The problem with water leaks is that you find out too late. The hose behind the washer, under the hot water tank, inside the kitchen sink cabinet — it seeps quietly, and by the time the floor swells you're paying for a floor repair that costs many times this kit. These sit exactly where nobody looks and sound off the moment a probe gets wet.

It runs LoRa low-power radio with a rated range of up to 1,968 ft from the gateway — enough to cover a detached house from basement to attic — and one gateway handles up to 100 sensors, so you can add more probes later. Probes sit on top and bottom, the alarm hits 100dB, and alerts also go out by app, SMS and email, which is what actually matters when you're not home. IP66 rated, and the AAA batteries are rated for over five years (8 included).

Two things worth knowing up front: put the gateway somewhere with strong WiFi that's still within range of the sensors — one reviewer missed alerts because theirs was tucked in a weak-signal corner. And plan on shallow trays for the probes so water pools around the contacts; trays are sold separately.

4.5 stars over 1,600+ reviews, and the most common setup is one under the kitchen sink, one under each bathroom sink, one behind the washer. After installing, hit the test button and the app tells you which sensor fired — rename it while you're in there.
