According to Spaceflight Now, an early-evening Falcon 9 launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base on Saturday sent 27 Starlink V2 Mini Optimized satellites into orbit—the 81st Starlink mission of the year.

The mission, designated Starlink 15-27, lifted off from Space Launch Complex 4 East at 6:47 p.m. PDT (9:47 p.m. EDT / 0147 UTC), with the satellites set to deploy a little more than an hour after liftoff. The first-stage booster B1093 made its 17th flight to space and back, having previously launched two missions for the U.S. Space Force's Space Development Agency, Transporter-16 and 13 batches of Starlink satellites. About 8.5 minutes after liftoff, B1093 landed on the droneship "Of Course I Still Love You" in the Pacific Ocean—the 225th landing on that vessel and the 662nd Falcon booster landing to date.

Per Counterpoint Research's Q2 2026 report, YMTC's NAND flash shipment share reached 14%, rising to third globally for the first time, behind only Samsung's 25% and SK Hynix's 22% and slightly ahead of Kioxia and Micron.
