732 pieces, ages 9 and up, and the finished car measures 27 cm long. The appeal isn't the shape — it's the mechanics. The steering knob actually turns the front wheels, the 8-cylinder engine's pistons move, there's a working differential, and both the doors and the hood open. This is a set that gets handled, not one that sits on a shelf gathering dust.

Technic packs more parts into longer steps than a regular set, so 732 pieces is a three-to-four-hour project. At this age that length is a feature: reading the instructions, hunting the right pin, testing the fit — concentration gets a genuine workout. Mistakes are forgiving too, since Technic pins pull out far more easily than bricks do.

The red is vivid enough to work as desk decor. If your kid has already built the small Speed Champions cars and wants actual mechanism, this is the natural step up.
