LG 98" NU850 4K UHD Smart TV — A 98-Inch Screen With 120Hz Motion! $1999.99 CAD (33% Off)

Best Buy currently carries the LG 98" NU850 4K UHD Smart TV (98NU850BPUB), priced at $1999.99 CAD (regular $2999.99, 33% off). Orders over $35 ship free.

The panel is a native 3840 x 2160 4K display, and at 98 inches it essentially turns an entire wall into the picture — a fit for a dedicated theatre room or a large living space. Direct Lit LED backlighting paired with HDR10 Pro adjusts brightness dynamically to keep highlights and shadows closer to life than a standard LED. Nano Detail Enhancer and AI Super Upscaling push lower-resolution sources toward near-4K quality.

Motion is where it stands out: the panel refreshes at a native 120Hz, and with motion interpolation enabled, films and sports show less blur. Hooked up to a PC, Motion Booster 288 pushes up to 144Hz (a 144Hz-capable graphics card is required). All three HDMI ports are HDMI 2.1a with eARC and ARC support, so a PS5 or a soundbar gets the full bandwidth. FILMMAKER MODE preserves the director's original picture settings if you'd rather skip processing.

The TV runs webOS, with Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and LG Channels built in, plus Google Assistant voice control, built-in Chromecast and Apple AirPlay. There's Wi-Fi and an Ethernet port, along with Bluetooth for headphones or speakers.

Audio is handled by a 20W speaker system with AI sound optimization and auto volume correction, which keeps ad breaks from suddenly blasting louder than the show. With the stand it measures 218.4 x 134.6 x 43.2 cm and weighs 50 kg; wall mounting requires a 600 x 400 VESA bracket (sold separately). It's ENERGY STAR certified with an energy saving mode. Rated 4.4 out of 5 across 98 reviews.
