"Worth Buying" Apple AirPods Pro 3 — 2x the Noise Cancelling, Plus Heart Rate! $298.99 CAD

Amazon.ca has the Apple AirPods Pro 3 for $298.99 CAD (list $329, 9% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 ship free.

This is the newest generation of AirPods Pro, and the jump over the Pro 2 is mostly in noise cancelling — Apple claims up to twice the noise removal, and on a subway car or in a busy café the difference is immediate, like someone turned the world down. Bass finally got fixed too. Earlier AirPods always felt a step behind on pop and hip-hop; this generation has real sub-bass without muddying the mids, and vocals stay as clean as you'd expect.

The new heart-rate sensor is the sleeper feature. The buds track your heart rate and calories across 50 workout types, so a run no longer requires a watch. Live Translation handles real-time conversation, which is genuinely useful for travel or talking to clients, though it leans on Apple Intelligence and works best between Apple devices.

Battery is 8 hours per charge with ANC on, plus the case, so charging is a twice-a-week chore rather than a daily one. The ear tips now come in five sizes with a foam-infused material that seals better and stays comfortable for longer. There's also Active Hearing Protection, which clamps down on overly loud environments like concerts or construction sites.

What reviewers keep coming back to is call quality — your voice comes through clearly and background noise barely registers on the other end — and how smoothly the buds hand off between iPhone, iPad and Mac. The honest downsides: they're expensive next to the competition, and Apple still doesn't offer a lossless codec for people who care about that.

Nine percent doesn't sound like much, but Apple earbuds rarely follow promotions at all, and $30 off is about as good as this generation gets outside of Black Friday. If you're still on Pro 1 or standard AirPods, the gap in noise cancelling and fit is something you'll hear and feel right away.
