Ring Battery Doorbell 2K (Newest Model) — Wide-Angle Video & 6x Zoom! $69.99 CAD (50% Off)

Amazon.ca has the newest Ring Battery Doorbell 2K in Speckled Gray for $69.99 CAD, half of the $139.99 list price. Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping over $35 CAD.

Fifty percent off is an unusual price for this model, and with 2,000+ sold in the past month it's clearly the one people were waiting on.

The draw is the Retinal 2K sensor: a wide field of view that covers the porch and a good stretch of driveway, plus up to 6x Enhanced Zoom so you can pull a face or a plate number in tight. That resolution is what separates this from the 1080p models.

Motion triggers a phone alert, and you can watch and talk back in real time. Battery power is the reason to pick this over a wired doorbell — no electrician, no drilling for cable. The included removal tool pops the unit off the wall and it charges over USB-C.

On endurance, one owner reported 80% remaining after two weeks. That number swings a lot with foot traffic and how many alerts you allow.

Two things to know before buying. Recording history, AI-powered alerts and rewatching past events require a Ring Protect subscription (sold separately) — live view and notifications work without it. And a few buyers found the removal tool missing from the box; a screwdriver works but it's fiddly. Night video is better than earlier generations, though bright backlight still blows out highlights.
