Beelink SER3 Mini PC — Ryzen 5, 16GB RAM, Dual 4K HDMI in a Palm-Sized Box! $429 CAD (26% Off)

Amazon.ca currently has the Beelink SER3 mini PC (AMD Ryzen 5 3500U, 16GB DDR4, 500GB M.2 SSD) for $429 CAD, down from $579 — 26% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 CAD ship free.

Let's be clear about what this machine is, because it's easy to buy the wrong thing here. The 3500U is a Zen+ four-core/eight-thread part (2.1GHz base, 3.7GHz boost) — not a current-generation chip. Its strengths are office work, dozens of browser tabs, 4K video, light photo editing and video calls. It is not a gaming box: the Vega 8 integrated graphics will handle League of Legends, and that's the ceiling.

The genuinely interesting part is port density. In a chassis this small you get two HDMI outputs for dual 4K@60Hz screens, four USB 3.2 ports, gigabit Ethernet, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. As a POS terminal, a shop display driver, a living-room HTPC, or a download box in the corner of the study, it needs no dock at all.

Storage is 16GB DDR4 across two SO-DIMM slots (Beelink says 32GB is supported) plus a 500GB M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD. 16GB is fine for mainstream office work, and when it isn't, you can add RAM and a bigger drive yourself — the advantage mini PCs hold over laptops is that they can be kept alive for years. Three-year warranty, longer than most in this class.

It sits at 4.3 stars across 541 reviews and #7 in Mini Desktops. The recurring notes are "smaller than expected" and "quiet" — the fan stays unobtrusive even under load, so it won't intrude on a meeting. One caveat: this platform dates to around 2019–2021, so if you're running VM clusters or multi-track 4K editing, it will buckle; that job wants a 5500U/5800H machine or a Mac mini.

$429 for a finished 16GB/500GB box is a fair price, and 26% is where this round of discounting sits. For an office desk, a reception counter, an HTPC, or a kid's online-class machine, it does the job properly.
