GE 7.2 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer — Moisture Sensing and 7 Cycles, $649.99 CAD (48% Off)

Best Buy currently carries the GE 7.2 cu. ft. electric dryer (model GTD49EBMRWS, white) for $649.99 CAD, down from $1,249.99 — a 48% saving. Orders over $35 ship free.

This is a dedicated vented electric dryer, not a washer-dryer combo, so you'll want an existing washer and a standard dryer outlet. The 7.2 cu. ft. drum takes comforters, sheet sets and a week of laundry in one go.

The standout feature is Sensor Dry: a moisture sensor tracks how damp the load actually is and ends the cycle at the dryness level you set, rather than running a fixed timer and overcooking your clothes. Seven cycles cover Cottons, Casuals, Quick Fluff, Auto Dry and Time Dry, with four temperature settings for everything from everyday cotton to synthetics to a quick refresh.

The glass-panel door has a reversible hinge, which helps when the laundry room is narrow or the machine sits against a wall. There's an interior drum light for loading at night, a removable lint filter, and an end-of-cycle signal. The drum is aluminized steel.

It carries 1,884 reviews on Best Buy at 4.5 stars. The EnerGuide rating is 650 kWh/yr and it isn't ENERGY STAR certified — worth knowing if electricity costs matter to you.

Dimensions are 68.81 × 110.01 × 68.81 cm (W × H × D) at 52 kg. The sale runs to November 13.
