Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max — Half Price, Turns Any Old TV Into a 4K Smart TV! $64.99 CAD (50% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (newest model) for $64.99 CAD (list $129.99, 50% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 ship free.

The TV still works but the interface lags, apps won't install and the remote takes three presses to register — a new TV is hundreds, this is $65 and done. The 4K Max has a faster processor than the standard stick, so apps open and menus scroll without stutter, with 4K plus Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos. This generation adds Wi-Fi 6E so 4K streams hold up when everything else is competing for bandwidth, and 16GB of storage is double the 4K Plus for more apps and games.

The remote does voice, so Alexa+ means saying what you want instead of typing it. With Xbox Game Pass you can cloud-play things like Call of Duty (controller and subscription sold separately), and in standby it cycles 2,000-plus museum pieces as an art frame. Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Crave are all here in Canada.

13,478 reviews at 4.5 stars, over 5,000 sold last month — including people who moved over from an Nvidia Shield or Chromecast and long-time Apple TV users tired of a glitchy box. Worth knowing it pushes Amazon's own interface with plenty of ads and recommendation rows; if that bothers you, the next tier up is worth a look.

$129.99 to $64.99 is its usual sale depth, and for a bedroom, basement or a parent's old TV there isn't much to argue with.
