Levoit Core 300 True HEPA Air Purifier — 24 dB Quiet, H13 Filtration! $146.79 CAD (39% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Levoit Core 300 True HEPA air purifier for $146.79 CAD (list $239.99, 39% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping on orders over $35.

The numbers that matter: CADR of 141 CFM (240 m³/h), which Levoit rates for a 1,095 sq ft space at one air change per hour — in practice a normal bedroom gets turned over in about 12 minutes. The three-stage stack is a pre-filter, an H13 True HEPA layer and an activated carbon filter, capturing 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns: dust, pollen, smoke, pet dander.

Noise is where it earns its keep. 24 dB on the lowest setting is quieter than a fridge, so it can run all night in a bedroom without anyone noticing. It draws 56W, cheap enough to leave on continuously, and at 3.58 kg and 61 cm tall it tucks against a wall without eating floor space.

91,466 ratings at 4.6 stars, and the reviews cluster around allergy season and pet households — less sneezing, deeper sleep, that kind of report. Two practical notes from owners: it works better on a side table than on the floor, and you should keep windows closed while it runs or you're filtering the neighbourhood.

Replacement filters should be genuine Core 300-RF (ASIN B07RSZSYNC). Levoit sells standard, Toxin Absorber, Smoke Remover and Pet Allergy versions, and off-brand filters fit poorly enough to stress the fan over time. The unit carries CARB, EPA, ETL and Energy Star certification with a two-year warranty.

$146 isn't the cheapest HEPA unit out there, but it buys a certified machine whose filters will still be on sale in three years — which is exactly where cheap purifiers fall down.
