Ring Essential Security Set — Battery Doorbell + Indoor Cam, 1536p HD! $149.97 CAD (40% Off)

Best Buy currently has the Ring Essential Security Set (battery doorbell plus indoor IP camera, Satin Nickel) at $149.97 CAD (regular $249.97, 40% off).

Free shipping on orders over $35.

Two devices in the box: a battery-powered doorbell and an indoor IP camera that also works outdoors. Both run on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with no hub required — pair them in the app and you are done.

Video. 1536p HD+ resolution with a 150-degree field of view both horizontally and vertically, so one doorbell covers most of a front entry. Colour night vision keeps detail visible after dark.

Detection. Motion detection pushes instant alerts, and package alerts tell you when a delivery lands. There is a built-in siren, two-way talk, and Quick Reply for pre-recorded responses when you cannot pick up.

Power. A quick-release battery pack comes out for charging without removing the whole unit. Operating range is -20°C to 45°C, which covers a Toronto winter.

One thing to budget for. Recording is cloud-only — there is no free cloud recording and no local storage, so reviewing footage and using the smarter alerts requires a Ring Protect subscription sold separately. Factor that into the total cost. Requires iOS 17 or Android 9 and up, works with Amazon Alexa, and does not support Google Assistant or HomeKit.

Dimensions: 11.1 x 6.2 x 2.8 cm, 250g.

Sale ends October 30.
