Alienware 27" 1440p 180Hz Gaming Monitor — IPS Panel with DisplayHDR 400! $259.95 CAD (35% Off)

Best Buy is currently offering the Alienware 27-inch 1440p gaming monitor (AW2725DM) for $259.95 CAD, down from $399.95 — 35% off. Orders over $35 ship free.

The AW2725DM uses a 27-inch IPS panel with a native 2560 x 1440 resolution (1440p WQHD) and 178-degree viewing angles both horizontally and vertically, so colours stay consistent even when you sit off to one side. For anyone who games and occasionally edits photos, IPS colour consistency is far less fussy than a VA panel.

The refresh rate is 180Hz with a 1ms grey-to-grey response time and Variable Refresh Rate support, which keeps fast turns and snap shots free of tearing and smearing. The panel covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space and carries VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification with up to 400 nits of HDR brightness, giving HDR content and high-contrast scenes more visible depth.

Connectivity is generous: two HDMI ports (up to QHD 144Hz) plus one DisplayPort 1.4 (full 180Hz), all supporting HDCP and VRR, along with multiple USB 5Gbps ports (Type-A and Type-B) so you don't need a separate hub for peripherals and drives. There is also a dedicated console mode that applies console-friendly display settings when you plug in a PS5 or Xbox.

The stand handles height, tilt, swivel and portrait rotation, and the monitor is VESA mountable, so it fits almost any desk setup. Eye comfort comes from a hardware-level low blue light solution rather than a system filter that washes out colour, and a 360-degree ventilation design keeps airflow moving during long sessions.

It has 761 reviews on Best Buy with a 4.8 rating. At $259.95 for a 27-inch, 2K, 180Hz IPS gaming monitor — $140 off the list price — the spec sheet and the price line up. The sale runs until October 30.
