Zinus Denzel 3-Seat Bamboo Sofa — Real Bamboo-and-Steel Frame! $360 CAD (27% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Zinus Denzel 3-seat upholstered sofa in dark grey for $360 CAD (list $490, 27% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free over $35.

The frame is the reason to look at this one: bamboo plus steel, not the MDF and particle board most sub-$400 couches ship with. Bamboo grows fast, Zinus has been building bed frames and mattresses on it for years, and the Denzel follows the same playbook. The covers come off, so one spill doesn't ruin the whole couch.

At 173 cm wide, 79.5 cm deep and 88 cm tall it fits a small condo living room, seats three without elbows, and lies flat enough to work as a guest bed. The seat foam is on the firm side — if you want to sink into a couch this isn't it, but your back will thank you on long sittings. Cushioned armrests on both ends; the backrest is a wood panel with soft cushions hung on it.

Assembly is a one-person job of about an hour with the included ratchet, and most of it is unfolding the frame and latching it in place. The box is 47 kg — compact but heavy, so open it downstairs and carry the pieces up in trips.

Three things worth knowing: the back cushions ship vacuum-packed and need 48–72 hours to fully expand, so they look flat at first; the backrest is low, so you can't fully sprawl; and the rear isn't finished, so it wants a wall behind it. It sits at 3.7 stars on Amazon right now (13 reviews) — praise for looks and easy assembly, deductions for seat feel and back height.
