Philips Sonicare 2100 Sonic Electric Toothbrush — 2-Minute Timer, 2-Week Battery! $32.95 CAD (23% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Philips Sonicare 2100 rechargeable toothbrush for $32.95 CAD (list $42.99, 23% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping over $35. It's the #2 seller in Amazon.ca's sonic toothbrush category, moving over 2,000 units a month.

This is Sonicare's entry model, and it doesn't win on features — it wins by getting the two things that actually matter right. First, a 2-minute SmarTimer that shuts the brush off when you're done. Second, QuadPacer, which pulses every 30 seconds so you move to the next quadrant. The classic manual-brushing failure is thinking you did two minutes when you did 47 seconds, and always starting on the same side so it gets the most attention. The timer fixes both.

Two intensity settings, plus Easy-start, which ramps the power up gradually over your first few uses — useful if you're coming off a manual brush and don't want your gums buzzing for an hour. The handle is slim and comfortable, small enough that kids can grip it. One charge runs about two weeks, so it stays home when you travel.

In the box: one SimplyClean C1 brush head. Heads are a recurring cost — budget for a swap every three months. C1 heads run around ten-something each and there's a wide range of compatible third-party options, so stock up when they go on sale.

Two practical notes. The charger is a USB cable only, no wall adapter — any phone brick works. And on this generation the charge light stays on until the battery is full, even though the manual says it should go off after 30 seconds. That page is from a different model. Nothing is broken; a few buyers returned perfectly good brushes over it.

4.4 stars across 5,000+ reviews, with most of the gripes about the rubber on the power button aging. As a first electric brush at thirty-odd dollars, there's not much to argue with.
