Dual-side intake is unusual at this price. Most units in the bracket pull air from one face; this one works both sides at once, with a rated CADR of 300 m³/h — roughly one air change per hour in a 100 m² space on paper. Real-world use lands closer to "a large bedroom or a living room," and the gap matters, so more on that below.

The practical payoff is the PM2.5 display. An infrared sensor reads the air continuously, and in auto mode the screen turns yellow or red and the fan ramps up when air quality drops — you can see the thing working instead of taking it on faith.

It's quiet when it needs to be. Sleep mode drops the fan to its lowest speed at under 24 dB with all indicator lights off, so it disappears in a bedroom overnight. Four fan speeds plus 2/5/8-hour timers: high during the day, sleep mode at bedtime, is the sensible routine.

Filtration is HEPA plus dual-sided activated carbon. The carbon is worth calling out: plenty of units at this price use a thin mesh layer with limited ability to hold odours, while this uses a real carbon bed that holds up better against cooking smells, pet odour and new-furniture off-gassing. Carbon has a finite capacity and saturates eventually — no brand escapes that.

Replace the filter every 4-6 months depending on your air. The enhanced version is ASIN B0BMDYDXFK and the standard one is B0C3GWNR29; note both now so you know the long-run consumable cost.

On coverage, the honest picture: 3,435 ratings at 4.4 stars, ranked #25 in Air Purifiers. Owners who have run several purifiers say the dual filter and real carbon make this genuinely good value, that it moves more air than some units with higher rated CADR, and that auto mode actually shifts volume. The same owners also say the 1,076 sq ft claim is optimistic — excellent in a bedroom, small office or dorm, but noticeably outmatched in a large open-concept living area.

So: a single room, bedroom, den or pet room, and this is more than enough. Whole open-plan main floor, and you want to look at higher-airflow units. For Canadian winters with the windows shut and the heat running, one of these in the bedroom is where it earns its keep.
