JBL Bar 700 MK2 780W 7.1 Dolby Atmos Soundbar — Detachable Wireless Surrounds and 10" Sub Included! $799.99 CAD (38% Off)

Best Buy has the JBL Bar 700 MK2 780W 7.1 Dolby Atmos soundbar for $799.99 CAD (reg. $1,299.99, 38% off). Free shipping on orders over $35.

It's a 780W 7.1 system with the bar, two detachable wireless surround speakers and a 10" wireless subwoofer — all in the box. The surrounds lift off the bar one-handed and sit behind you with no extra wires or power connections, then recharge when you put them back. The subwoofer needs only a power outlet, so you can place it wherever the bass works in your room.

Dolby Atmos is supported, though how much you hear depends on the content and whether your TV can pass the signal through. MultiBeam 3.0 widens the soundstage to fill the room; PureVoice 2.0 automatically lifts dialogue based on the scene and volume so words stay clear; SmartDetails brings out quieter background detail for a more balanced mix.

For connections there's one HDMI input with 4K pass-through, plus Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) for wireless streaming. An HDMI or optical cable is sold separately, so check your TV's output before you set it up. Frequency response is 35 Hz - 20 kHz.

The JBL One app handles setup, EQ, music services and firmware updates. Two features stand out: Broadcasting mode lets you carry one or both surrounds into another room while they keep playing the same audio; Night mode mutes the bar and subwoofer through the app so only the surrounds play — useful for late-night viewing.

The bar measures 116.3 cm wide, 5.2 cm tall and 12.8 cm deep at 6.4 kg, so it sits below most 55-75" TVs without blocking the screen. Rated 4.6 (9 reviews).
