OneBeat Outlet Extender 6 AC + 4 USB — Turn One Wall Plug into Ten, 32% Off at $16.88 CAD

Amazon.ca has the OneBeat outlet extender (6 AC outlets, 2 USB-A, 2 USB-C, 1800 joules of surge protection) for $16.88 CAD, down from $24.99 — 32% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping over $35.

Most wall plates give you two receptacles, and the TV, router, speaker and a charger fill them instantly. This screws over the existing plate and hands you ten connections: six AC outlets spread across three faces, spaced 1.7 inches apart so a chunky power brick does not block the neighbour, plus two USB-A and two USB-C ports at up to 3A each.

The plug itself swivels 90 degrees either way, so whether the wall socket is horizontal or vertical you can angle the body downward and stop the cord from kinking against the wall. The whole thing measures 5.7 x 1.9 x 1.7 inches — smaller than a tissue pack, easy to toss in a bag.

On safety: ETL certified, 1800 joules, and it uses a three-part circuit (TVS, MOV, GDT) quoted at under 1 ns response rather than MOV alone like cheap strips. The shell is flame-resistant ABS rated to 1382°F. Total load is capped at 15A / 1875W, fine for computer gear, a TV or fans — not for a space heater running continuously.

It has 19,000+ ratings at 4.6 stars, ranks #2 in Amazon's power strip category, and moved 5,000+ units last month. At $16.88 you would pay more than this for a four-port USB strip alone.
