LEGO Christmas Table Decoration 40743 — Build It, Then Use It as the Centerpiece, 433 Pieces! $34.97 CAD (36% Off)

Amazon.ca has the LEGO Christmas Table Decoration (40743) for $34.97 CAD, down from $54.99 — 36% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping over $35.

433 pieces, ages 12 and up, measuring about 18 cm tall, 21 cm wide and 24 cm deep when finished — roughly the footprint of a real centrepiece, which is exactly where it goes.

The build is seasonal in the obvious way: a red brick-built candle surrounded by red berries, golden stars and green foliage. The making is the activity, and the result is the decoration, so there's nothing extra to buy.

The review that best explains what this is for: it was bought as a gift for someone who seems to have everything. It's an activity and an object at once, so the recipient uses it the same day instead of finding somewhere to store it. Others hand it to the kids on the day the Christmas boxes come out, then leave it on the coffee table through the holidays.

One practical note: despite the modest piece count, it's still hard for a five-year-old — the 12+ rating is honest. Either build it together or save it for an older kid.

$54.99 is the usual price for seasonal sets like this, and $34.97 is close to where they land at clearance. If you want a table decoration you'll reuse for years, this is the right price point; after the holidays it tends to go back to full price or disappear.
