It isn't a sedative; it's a probiotic. The strain is Bifidobacterium longum BL999, positioned to help cats maintain calm behaviour and support positive behaviours like playing and seeking out social contact, particularly during external stressors such as a change of routine or location. One sachet a day, mixed into wet food — the powder has a beef scent, and almost nobody in the reviews reports a cat refusing it.

Where it fits: a rescue cat just home, two cats who won't stop scrapping, a move, or an owner travelling and upending the routine. One reviewer started on a vet's recommendation for two cats that fought constantly and says they're noticeably calmer and fight far less. Another uses it for an anxious cat that wakes her before the alarm — not a miracle every time, but a visible difference overall.

Be ready for the timeline: it doesn't work on day one. Reviews consistently point to two or three weeks before change shows, and several owners taper off after three or four months once things settle. If you need an immediate behavioural stop, this isn't that.

One real issue raised in reviews: someone received a two-box order with a best-before date only two months out. Check the date on the listing, and check the box when it arrives — a month is exactly one pack, so don't stockpile.

4.4 stars over 379 reviews and ranked first in Cat Relaxants. It's one of the few in this category with veterinary-channel backing, and at $28.74 versus a $42.49 list you get a month's supply to see whether it helps your cat.
