TCL 65" F7D 4K QLED Fire TV — Quantum Dot, Dolby Vision, Built-in Fire TV! $549.99 CAD (21% Off)

Amazon.ca has the TCL 65" F7D Series 4K QLED Fire TV (65F7D) for $549.99 CAD (list $699.99, 21% off). It weighs 12.2 kg — worth sorting delivery and mounting before you order.

65 inches suits a living room with about three metres from sofa to screen. The panel is QLED, with TCL claiming colour coverage close to the full DCI-P3 space; the High Brightness+ backlight and AIPQ processor with deep-learning handle colour, contrast, and clarity in real time. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for HDR, Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X for audio.

Fire TV is built in, with an Alexa+ voice remote — Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ are all there without a separate box. Ports: 3 HDMI, one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0, plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. VESA 400×400 or 600×400 for wall mounting.

One thing to be clear about: the spec sheet lists a 60 Hz refresh rate. "Motion Rate 240" is motion interpolation, not a native 120 Hz panel. It'll drive a PS5 or a PC, and Game Accelerator 120 plus auto game mode cut latency, but don't buy it expecting a high-refresh gaming set.

195 reviews average 4.0 stars, and the complaints cluster in two places: the built-in speakers are thin — budget for a soundbar — and dark scenes show banding and uneven blacks. One 1-star review warns that returning a set this size means paying freight yourself, so measure twice.

It's #90 in Electronics and #1 in Portable TVs, with 1,000+ sold in the past month. If you're shopping 65 inches under $600, the specs hold up — just go in knowing what the speakers and black levels are.
