Maytag 5.5 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer & Pet Pro 7.0 Cu. Ft. Steam Electric Dryer — Made for Pet Households! $1699.98 CAD (11% Off)

Best Buy currently has the Maytag 5.5 cu. ft. high-efficiency top load washer and Pet Pro 7.0 cu. ft. electric steam dryer set for $1699.98 CAD (regular $1899.98, 11% off). Free shipping on orders over $35.

This pair is aimed squarely at pet households. The washer is a 5.5 cu. ft. high-efficiency top load model — a step up from the common 5.0 cu. ft. class, so a dog bed cover, a sofa slipcover, or a large blanket doesn't have to be split across two loads. The matching dryer is a Pet Pro 7.0 cu. ft. electric steam model, slightly larger again, so a full wash load moves straight over.

The "Pet Pro" name refers to how the dryer is built around pet hair. The real annoyance in a pet household isn't the wash itself — it's pulling clothes out still carrying a layer of fur that keeps recirculating through the drum and the lint screen. This class of machine addresses the lint screen and airflow path specifically for hair rather than general laundry. Best Buy's listing doesn't detail the exact mechanism, but that's the design intent.

Steam is the other genuinely useful part: adding steam during the dry cycle relaxes wrinkles and knocks down odours, so jackets and bedding come out without a trip to the iron. In a house with animals, cutting residual smell on fabrics matters too.

Top load pays off day to day — you load standing up rather than crouching at a drum door, and if you find a missed item mid-cycle you just lift the lid. High-efficiency models generally use less water than older top loaders, and 5.5 cu. ft. covers ordinary family laundry without crowding.

Both units are white and matching, so they read as one setup. At $1699.98 for the washer and dryer together, the bundle typically lands below buying comparable machines separately. Pricing runs through October 29.

One caveat: the Best Buy listing doesn't publish the cycle count, motor type, or energy rating for this set. If you have hard requirements — a hot wash, a specific sanitize cycle — verify the specs on the product page before ordering.
