JBL Live 770NC — 65-Hour Battery, Adaptive ANC! $129.98 CAD (57% Off)

Amazon.ca has the JBL Live 770NC wireless over-ear headphones (black) at $129.98 CAD, down from $299.98 — 57% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise free over $35.

The positioning here is clear: this isn't an audiophile pair, it's a commute-and-desk pair you can wear for eight hours and not charge every night. 40mm drivers with JBL Spatial Sound turn stereo content into virtual surround, which is most noticeable with movies rather than music.

Noise cancelling uses four mics and adapts to the room; switch to Smart Ambient when you want to hear what's going on without taking them off. Subway rumble, café chatter and the drone of a window AC all get knocked down substantially — one reviewer who lives with an unbearably loud AC says ANC tunes it out completely.

Battery is the headline: 65 hours with ANC off, 50 hours with it on, a 5-minute charge adds 4 hours, and a full charge over USB-C takes about two hours. Multi-point pairs two devices at once, so a call can interrupt a tablet video without repairing. The fabric-wrapped headband and soft cushions make them comfortable over the ears; at 445 g they aren't light, but they stay put.

Worth knowing before you buy: the fabric headband collects lint and needs occasional cleaning; LE Audio and the low-latency Video Mode arrive via a later OTA update, so they may not be there out of the box. Some long-time JBL owners also note that the cheaper TUNE 770NC has a slightly clearer mic and longer real-world battery — what you get in exchange here is more metal in the build and a more durable headband. If you're on calls all day, weigh that.

$299.98 was steep for this tier; $129.98 is where it belongs. Among big-brand ANC headphones at this price, few offer multi-point plus 50-hour ANC battery, so the discount is genuine.
