"Worth Buying": Earth Rated 900 Poop Bags + Dispenser — Thick, Leakproof, a Year of Walks!

Amazon.ca has the Earth Rated dog poop bag set — one dispenser plus 900 unscented bags — for $39.99 CAD against a $41.98 list. There's a 10% coupon on the page too; clip it before checkout and you're at roughly $36. Prime members ship free; otherwise free over $35.

900 bags is more than a year at two walks a day, or around six months with two dogs. They're the 13 x 9 inch extra-long size, noticeably longer than most store brands, so tying off doesn't put your hand anywhere near the wrong place. Thickness is the other thing reviewers keep returning to — no surprise holes at the bottom; the only tear mentioned came from ripping the bag top while peeling the roll sticker.

The dispenser is the improved generation. The older version screwed together at the bottom, could work loose mid-walk and got lost; the used-bag hook has moved to the upper section, so the bottom no longer opens. The silicone strap sits tight on a leash without swinging, and the yellow hook holds used bags so both hands stay free — one owner has carried two at once.

Two small details hold up: a marker warns you when the roll is nearly out, and bags pull without snagging — trivial until you've fought a cheap dispenser in the rain. The bags are unscented and biodegradable, and Earth Rated is B Corp certified.

It ranks 6th in Amazon.ca's dog waste bags, 4.7 stars across nearly 12,000 reviews. Its main flaw is that it sells out often.

The discount itself is only 5%, so with the coupon you're saving a few dollars, not catching a blowout. But this is a consumable, and at 900 bags of this thickness the per-bag cost beats small packs. Stock up when a coupon is live rather than paying convenience-store prices for thin bags mid-week.
