Amazon.ca currently has the LEGO Friends Heartlake City Ice Cream Truck (42644) for $15.18 CAD (list price $24.99, 39% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 ship free.

92 pieces, ages 4 and up, buildable in an afternoon. It comes with two minidolls, Paisley and Elsa D, plus a bunny figure. The accessories are the point: cones, strawberry, vanilla and chocolate ice cream, a spoon, a sprinkle can, an umbrella, two chairs, a cash register and money. Once built it's a little stand kids actually play with — this set is designed for pretend play, not for sitting on a shelf.

4.8 stars across 2,600-plus reviews, with over 1,000 sold in the past month. There's also a clippable coupon on the product page — tick it before checkout for a little more off.

Just over $15 for a LEGO set that builds and plays is a safe birthday gift for a 4-to-7-year-old.
