Marshall's house sound is the draw here, but the third-gen Monitor finally nails active noise cancelling too — it continuously measures ambient noise to cancel it out, so subway rumble and café chatter get pushed well back.

The battery is the headline: 70 hours with ANC on, up to 100 with it off. At two hours of commuting a day that's roughly one charge a month, so forgetting to plug in isn't a disaster.

Dynamic Loudness automatically rebalances treble, mids and bass at any volume, so quiet listening doesn't sound thin. The new Soundstage spatial audio widens the image for live recordings and movies.
