WD-40 Specialist Electrical Contact Cleaner 155g — Fix Stick Drift and Dirty Contacts! $11.47 CAD (12% Off)

This is the specialist contact cleaner, not the blue-and-yellow multi-use can. The solvent blend blasts oil, dirt, flux residue and condensation out of sensitive electronics and dries fast without leaving residue — the manufacturer claims it removes over 95% of common surface contaminants. Listed applications: printed circuit boards, controls, battery terminals, switches, precision instruments and electric panels. The Smart Straw is permanently attached and sprays two ways — a precise stream for tight spots, flipped around for broad coverage. Test on plastic first, and keep it away from adhesives, screens and keyboards.

It currently ranks #1 in Amazon.ca's Electrical Cleaners category (#113 in Automotive) and moves over a thousand cans a month.

In practice it covers more than circuit boards: volume pots in an old receiver, 1/4" and 3.5mm jacks on a guitar, model railway track and motor brushes, a corroded board inside a car tail light. Controller stick drift too — a short burst into the potentiometer and it usually comes back.

Just over eleven dollars for a can. Cheap insurance to keep in the garage.
