eufy SoloCam S220 2K Solar Security Camera — No Wiring, No Monthly Fee! $99.99 CAD (38% Off)

Amazon.ca currently has the eufy (Anker) SoloCam S220 2K solar wireless security camera for $99.99 CAD (list price $159.99, 38% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 ship free.

The practical selling point is no subscription. 8GB of on-device storage plus local AI human detection means footage stays on the camera rather than in a cloud plan, so it's a one-time cost instead of an annual bill. The integrated solar panel on top keeps the 6500mAh battery topped up on about three hours of sunlight a day.

2K resolution, an f/1.6 aperture and a 135-degree field of view, with four IR LEDs for colour night vision after dark. IP67 rating and a metal housing hold up through rain and snow, so a driveway, backyard or side gate all work. Installation is one drilled hole, screw on the mount, click the camera in — eufy says five minutes and that's about right, no contractor and no cable run. Works with Alexa and Google Assistant, and two-way audio lets you talk to whoever is at the door.

4.1 stars across 5,000-plus reviews, with 200-plus units moving last month. A few honest quirks: human detection can still miss people even at maximum sensitivity, the app sometimes needs a pull-to-refresh before the newest clips appear, and some owners found the panel stopped charging once shade covered it. Check for steady sunlight before you mount it.

$99.99 is its usual sale price and well under the $159.99 list. If you want an extra camera point outside without running wire, this is a fair price for it.
