EZVIZ BM1 Battery Baby Monitor — Zero Visible IR, Auto Soothing Music! $49.99 CAD (38% Off)

Amazon.ca has the EZVIZ BM1 battery-powered baby monitor for $49.99 CAD (list $79.99, 38% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 ship free.

No cable is the whole point. A 2,000 mAh battery runs all night, so you can carry it from the nursery to the kitchen or the balcony without relocating a crib to reach an outlet.

Night vision uses zero visible infrared — no red glow, no blinking light — so it doesn't wake the baby. That matters more in practice than it does on a spec sheet. When it detects crying it plays soothing music automatically and pushes an alert to your phone. The human-shape algorithm watches activity and can trigger an out-of-crib alert if you draw a monitoring zone. Two-way talk lets you speak through the camera. 1080p, IP54, microSD storage up to 256 GB — no cloud subscription needed, which is more than most competitors offer. It also works with Alexa and Google.

3.9 stars over 103 ratings. The negative reviews are mostly pairing and Wi-Fi setup failures — usually app-related or a weak signal — and one buyer found night footage grainy. Install the EZVIZ app and confirm Wi-Fi reaches the crib before you buy, and most of that friction goes away. One design quirk: the camera stays on while charging, so top it up before putting it back by the crib.

A battery-powered baby monitor at fifty dollars is not a common price. At the $80 list it was a maybe; here it isn't.
