This is Nalgene's own neoprene sleeve, cut to fit a 32oz Wide Mouth or OTF/OTG bottle. Zip closure, carry loop, snug fit.

It does two jobs. First, insulation — a water bottle doesn't freeze through a winter hike, and a bottle left in a hot car still comes out cool. Second, it stops condensation: the sweat that beads up on a cold bottle gets absorbed instead of soaking your bag or making the bottle slippery.

One reviewer used it on 10-12 hour hikes at -10°F and the water never froze, which is about the worst case this thing will ever see. Another left a bottle in a hot parking-lot car and it was still cold hours later.

Being straight with you: thirty-odd dollars for a sleeve is not cheap, and some people would rather just buy a vacuum flask. But if you already have a 32oz Nalgene you like and don't want to replace the bottle, this is the best-fitting option — much snugger than a generic sleeve.
