Razer Kraken V3 X Gaming Headset — 285g Lightweight with 7.1 Surround Sound! $54.99 CAD (45% Off)

Best Buy currently carries the Razer Kraken V3 X wired gaming headset in Black for $54.99 CAD (regular $99.99, 45% off). Orders over $35 ship free.

At this price most headsets still use plasticky shells and generic drivers. The Kraken V3 X uses 40mm Razer TriForce drivers split into three parts to tune highs, mids, and lows separately, which opens up the soundstage compared with single-piece drivers in the same bracket and makes footsteps and gunfire easier to place. The 7.1 surround sound is where that pays off most in shooters.

The whole headset weighs about 285g, on the light side for a wired over-ear, so the headband does not clamp hard and three or four hour sessions stay comfortable. The cushions combine fabric with memory foam and a cooling gel layer, which keeps things breathable in summer instead of turning into a sweaty seal like straight leatherette.

The microphone is a retractable Razer HyperClear cardioid with a tighter pickup pattern, so keyboard clatter and fan noise come through less and your voice sits forward in voice chat. The 2.1m cable terminates in USB-A, and the inline control adjusts volume without alt-tabbing out of the game. The closed cups add some passive isolation for dorms and shared rooms.

Wired also means no charging and no dropouts mid-match. At 45% off it lands in the mid-fifty range, which makes it a solid first gaming headset or a backup set. Deal ends November 13.
