Brita Stream Filter 2-Pack — Filter As You Pour, No Waiting! $37.41 CAD (24% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Brita Stream filter 2-pack for $37.41 CAD (list $49.00, 24% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free over $35. One clarification first: these are filters, not a pitcher — they fit Brita Stream pitchers only.

What separates Stream from the classic Brita is Filter-As-You-Pour: water sits in the top chamber and passes through the carbon as you pour, instead of you filling it and waiting for it to trickle down. In a full house that's the difference between refilling back to back and standing at the sink.

Filtration is dual-layer activated carbon, rated to remove over 90% of chlorine taste and odour plus class VI particulates, while leaving fluoride in the water. The newer carbon form means no black flecks, which cheaper filters are notorious for in the first few pitchers. A filter indicator tells you when to swap with one click. Each filter covers 40 gallons — about two months for an average family — so this pair lasts roughly four months.

Brita's own claim is that a year of filtering replaces up to 1,800 single-use 16.9 oz bottles. You probably won't hit that number, but with Toronto tap water the taste difference is obvious. 11,863 reviews at 4.7 stars, no real pattern of complaints.

Two things to watch: don't tick the subscription box by accident — one reviewer saw their second order priced at double — and the "6-pack" listing on the page actually shows 3 units, so check the spec before buying.
