Acer Nitro ED270R 27" 1500R Curved Gaming Monitor — 165Hz, FreeSync Premium, PS5 at 120Hz! $179.99 CAD (36% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Acer Nitro ED270R MBMIIPHX 27-inch curved gaming monitor for $179.99 CAD, down from $279.99 — 36% off. Free shipping with Prime, or on orders over $35 otherwise.

27 inches at 1920x1080 with a 1500R curve, which keeps the edges of the screen at a more even distance from your eyes when you sit close. The VA panel runs 165Hz with a 1ms VRB response, and AMD FreeSync Premium syncs the panel's frames to your GPU to cut tearing and stutter. On fast shooters and racing games, the jump from 60Hz is the part you notice immediately.

Connectivity is generous for the price: two HDMI 2.0 plus DisplayPort 1.4, an HDMI cable in the box, built-in stereo speakers, and a ZeroFrame bezel that lets two panels sit nearly seamless side by side. The stand tilts from -5 to 25 degrees and it's VESA mountable. Warranty is three years parts and labour.

4.6 stars over 2,600+ ratings, ranked #144 in Computer Monitors. One owner who upgraded from a decade-old 60Hz TV reports 120Hz on PS5, no stretching from the curve, and two years of trouble-free use. The honest complaints: the blue standby LED below the screen flashes continuously, so light sleepers in a single room end up unplugging it; the 72% colour gamut isn't vivid enough for photo editing; and the power button can get finicky with age. Fine as a gaming and everyday screen, not the one for colour work.

At $179.99 you're saving about a hundred dollars off list — this is the price this panel usually bottoms out at.
