“Worth Buying” Bose QuietComfort — 24h Battery, 238g, 4.4 Stars From 20,000+ Ratings

Amazon.ca currently lists the Bose QuietComfort over-ear noise cancelling headphones in Black at $479 CAD — that's the regular price, there is no discount on it right now. Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping on orders over $35.

Let's be clear up front: if you're hunting for a bargain, this isn't the moment. It earns a mention because 20,000+ ratings average 4.4 stars, more than a thousand people bought it last month, and it sits at #41 in Stereo Headphones — the kind of purchase people rarely regret.

QuietComfort is built around noise cancelling and comfort. The ear cushions are plush and the headband is padded, so long sessions don't leave your ears sore. Two modes cover most situations: Quiet blanks out the room, Aware lets it back in, switchable by button. The app adds custom modes and Wind Block for breezy days outdoors.

Battery is rated at 24 hours, and a 15-minute USB-C top-up buys about 2.5 more. At 238 g it's light for a noise-cancelling over-ear. Multipoint lets you hop between phone and laptop without re-pairing. When the battery runs out — or when you want zero latency — plug in the included 3.5 mm cable with its inline mic and it works as a wired pair. Hard case and charging cable are in the box, one-year warranty.

$479 is real money, and whether it makes sense depends on how long you wear them. Six or seven hours a day between commute and office, and the cost per day is trivial; a few listens a week, and it isn't. The tuning is warm and easy to live with rather than analytical, so try a pair before committing.
