Whirlpool 24" 51dB Dishwasher with Third Rack — 14 Place Settings and Sani-Rinse at 155°F! $699.99 CAD (22% Off)

Best Buy currently has the Whirlpool 24" built-in dishwasher (WDT730HAMZ) for $699.99 CAD (list $899.99, 22% off). Orders over $35 ship free.

It measures 23.87" wide (60.64 cm), 33.5" high and 26.5" deep — a standard 24-inch opening — and weighs 35.83 kg. Capacity is 14 place settings across three racks: a top rack for knives, spoons and small tools, an adjustable middle rack, and a standard lower rack with fold-down ball-tip tines. The third rack is what keeps spatulas, ladles and peelers from stealing slots that plates need.

Cleaning comes from a triple filtration wash system that filters food particles and cleans the water between wash stages. Quick Wash handles a single meal's plates and glasses, and Sani-Rinse raises the rinse water to 155°F, which Whirlpool rates at eliminating 99.999% of food soil bacteria. Cycle Memory remembers your last programme so restarting takes one button.

At 51 dB it is quiet enough for an open-concept kitchen or a load started before bed. Drying is heated, and the Extended Dry option adds roughly 30 minutes to the cycle to improve results; Hi Temp Wash and Extended Soak are also available.

On the safety side, Overfill Detect uses a float sensor to catch a tub that is taking on too much water and cuts power to the inlet fill valve. If a cycle is interrupted, a light blinks to remind you to restart it.

Things to know: there is no delay start and no child lock, and no Wi-Fi, app, Alexa or Google Assistant support. The interior tub is plastic rather than stainless steel. It is ENERGY STAR certified and rated 270 kWh per year on EnerGuide.
