Amazon.ca has the Acer Nitro XV275K V3 (model UM.HX5AA.303) 27-inch 4K MiniLED monitor for $447.57 CAD (list $556.98, 20% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free over $35.

The panel specs are aggressive for the money: 3840x2160 IPS MiniLED with 1,152 local dimming zones, VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, 1,000 nits peak brightness, 97% DCI-P3 and 99% AdobeRGB, Delta E under 2. Refresh is 160Hz at 4K, or 320Hz at 1080p via DFR, with response down to 0.5ms and FreeSync Premium support. Ports are one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1, enough for 4K 120 on PS5 or Series X. The stand offers 5.9 inches of height travel, +/-30 degrees swivel and 90 degrees pivot, plus 100x100 VESA mounting.

Now the parts you need to know before buying. With 31 reviews averaging 3.5 stars, there are reasons:

First, blooming. It's the standard MiniLED trade-off — bright objects on black pick up a halo, and you'll see reverse haloing around dark UI elements on dark grey. In games and video it's not constant, but if you live in a dark-themed IDE or play dark scenes, you'll notice. In SDR you can dial adaptive dimming down or off; in HDR that control is locked out, so you live with it. Second, quality control: one reviewer went through three RMAs for dead pixels or backlight bleed before getting a clean unit, while others got a perfect one first try. Third, this V3 is the cut-down version of the line — the USB hub and USB-C from the older P5 are gone, so you get three video ports and nothing else. Fourth, there are no built-in speakers and the height adjustment is stiff. Some owners also found SDR needed calibration out of the box while HDR looked right immediately.

Bottom line: if you accept that MiniLED means some blooming, this is close to the image-quality ceiling at $450. If you want true blacks and zero haloing, that's OLED money.
