The pitch here is simple: JBL's tuning at an entry-level price. An 8mm driver paired with a closed, stick-style fit puts the bass front and centre, and it sounds noticeably fuller than the no-name earbuds sitting at the same price. The stems are short, so they don't press against your ear, and two or three hours in they still feel fine.

Battery is the standout: 8 hours in the buds plus 24 in the case, 32 total. A 10-minute top-up buys you another 2 hours when you notice they're flat on the way out the door. IP54 on the earbuds and IPX2 on the case means sweat and light rain are not a problem.

The JBL Headphones app lets you dial in your own EQ and switch on Smart Ambient so surrounding noise comes through — handy on a bike or when you need to hear the kids. Three ear tip sizes and a USB-C cable are in the box; the wall adapter is not.

4.1 stars across 28,000+ reviews is not stellar. The complaints cluster around two things: isolation is average next to ANC models, and the tips run firm, so smaller ears should go straight to the smallest pair. Set against that, 45 bucks for JBL sound and 32 hours of runtime is a fair trade.

These normally sit in the $70–80 range. 55% off is not an everyday occurrence.
