A dripping faucet or a handle that keeps getting looser usually doesn't mean a new faucet — it means this cartridge. Two ceramic carbide discs rotate against each other to control flow and temperature, so there's no rubber washer to wear out, and Kingston Brass rates it for years of service. The body and stem are solid brass, with a 1/2-14 NPSM thread, a 3/8" x 16PT handle connection and a 2-1/2" overall length.

The only real work is matching the model: it's made for Kingston Brass faucets, and reviewers confirm it fits the RMNAB818MC-BN-S and Concord widespread bathroom faucets. 4.2 stars across 20-plus reviews, with the most common note being that it saved them from buying a whole new faucet. One reviewer did report a leak after install — usually an O-ring seating issue or a mismatched model, so note your faucet's model number before you take the old one out.

Calling a plumber once costs two or three of these. Doing it yourself is a half-hour job: shut the water, pull the handle, unscrew the old cartridge, drop the new one in.
